Product Manager

Product Manager

In the future, almost everything we consume will simply materialise on our doorsteps – what we call “e-commerce” today will simply be “commerce” tomorrow. But if we continue on today’s trajectory, the growth of e-commerce risks damaging the environment, alienating our communities, and straining the bottom-line for small businesses.

Description

Relay is a warehouse-to-doorstep delivery network purpose-built to scale to the demands of e-commerce. We help the most important retailers in the UK (and one day, the world) to deliver faster, more affordably, and more sustainably than existing solutions. For every parcel we deliver, we drive 40% fewer miles than-  and emit roughly half of the greenhouse gases of existing solutions.

The efficiency and scalability of our network depends on our ability to guide couriers through every step of the delivery process using Copilot, Relay’s end-to-end guidance system for couriers. We’re looking for a product manager to lead development of Copilot and drive the success of Relay’s crucial last-mile delivery.

As a Product Manager in this role at Relay, you can expect to…

  • Set the vision and roadmap for Relay Copilot

  • Design and launch new delivery products within Copilot, such as shockingly easy e-commerce returns

  • Report to Relay’s C-level executives

  • Partner with a wildly talented engineering team including alumni of Deliveroo, Meta, Palantir, Spotify, and Stripe

  • Be responsible for driving the company’s most important technology products

  • Frequently get on the road with couriers to understand every facet of their experience with Relay

Requirements

You might be a great fit for this role if…

  • You are deeply versed in the creation and use of technology. You have a background in a technical discipline such as software engineering, UX design, or data science

  • You are unreasonably ambitious and work with burning urgency

  • You got into product management to build great technology, not to coordinate across an org chart.

  • You have deep empathy for the humans for whom you build technology, including customers, partners, and your fellow colleagues. You seek out the chance to hear directly from them and go out of your way to incorporate their feedback into your work.

  • You value and practise clear communication, active listening, and intentional collaboration.

We are looking for candidates who…

  • Have successfully launched and scaled products within a high-performing technical organisation over the course of two or more years.

  • Have served in a product management role for at least twelve months.

Experience as a startup founder or in early stage teams is a strong plus, but not required.

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)

  • Hybrid working; office located in London near Old Street tube station

  • A culture of learning and growth, where you're encouraged to take ownership from day one

  • Plenty of team socials and events
